Congratulations to public health major Ankush Govil! Ankush and his teammates presented at the PAMA (Performing Arts Medicine Association) symposium at Weill Cornell Medical School in NYC in July.
PAMA is an international organization dedicated to sharing ideas and providing resources associated with the health and well-being of performing artists around the world. Ankush and his teammates were invited to deliver a 15-minute lecture detailing their research on preventing aerosols from being emitted from the bells of musical wind instruments. Their presentation received high praise and a great deal of positive feedback. They are excited to continue this project as the only team in the world looking into aerosols in the performing arts.
Students interested in getting involved in this type of research can contact Ankush by email: agovil@tulane.edu
